JustJoomla.com began life many years ago when Joomla!® was first launched, and it served as Kathy's open source software distribution site. In fact - JustJoomla.com is where Kathy began distributing her range of EZ* software products such as EZ Catalog and EZ Realty - and with changes to her priorities in life - JustJoomla is back with a growing range of EZ* software products!

About Kathy

Kathy is a self-confessed software/scripting junkie - and has been a quiet presence in the open source community for many years. She has designed Mambo/Joomla! templates and graphics sets under the "net nic" of "PixelBunyiP", was a member of TSMF's Joomlaboard Forum development team a number of years ago providing documentation support, and released a range of free Mambo/Joomla!® components and modules through this very site - and prior to that - her Mambo distribution site.

With a Bachelor of Nursing, Master's degree in Midwifery and a professional background in nurse education & research - Kathy is an unlikely software developer at first glance. It's this professional background in nursing/midwifery, nurse education, her work with one of the pioneers in collaborative computor mediated learning, and her year as a research assistant on the development of computor based multi-media learning packages that makes Kathy's approach to software development and customer support very different.

The foundation of Kathy's approach to developing software is that it should be easy to use and responsive to customer needs - so that it grows and develops to reflect the needs of her customer base. Her approach to customer support has always been one of timely intervention with a strong leaning towards educating clients to be self-reliant problem-solvers, and the benefit to clients is they develop confidence in themselves as webmasters.

With the success of Kathy's first commercial product EZ Realty and her business Raptor Services - life changed, and revolved around a fast pace of development, customer support and the nitty gritty of a commercial software business. This pace continued for a number of years - and then almost 3 years ago - Kathy's life and priorities changed when her husband of 29 years suffered and survived a cardiac arrest.

Change often takes time to implement, and that time was in 2010 with the re-launch of Kathy's JustJoomla.com site - where her range of Joomla!® extensions are now released under the Creative Commons GNU GPL license. All extensions released on JustJoomla.com will be released under this license, and while some will be free to download - others will be available under a paid support subscription plan. The goal of this change is to make the major EZ* components such as EZ Realty more affordable for both big and small web development projects - and to free Kathy up from the grind of managing software licensing - so she can spend more time developing software for her clients.
